rememberance bracelet...

I have been looking for a bracelet similar to those that some Rangers boys wear that list the names of fallen soldiers. This one above has some leather to it where the Ranger ones are all metal. I don't want to put fallen soldiers names on it as that is for the boys but I wanted to get one that would remind me of this journey that we have been on. I am allowed up to 9 characters and I am looking for word/words that will be a good reminder to me! The goal is to wear it everyday!
I am opening it up for suggestions!!

Some I have received already are...
~faithope
~‎"avere fede" means have faith in italian
~something in Hebrew would look awesome on leather
~cherish life
~"time", "in time"
~בזמן in time, זמן אמונה time faith...in Hebrew

because it is often hard to remember how much having faith in our mighty king can change the circumstances and situations we are in.

How about simply using the word GRACE. There is a song I love that says, "It's only by GRACE that Jesus has saved. It's not by the works of my hands or my best laid plans, just GRACE. And nothing but GRACE can fully erase. From my first to my last all my life shall pass through GRACE."

Also, you could pick out one of your favorite scriptures and just use the book and verse. I find that if people have to go look it up, they are more likely to remember it. When I was younger, I saw a man with a tattoo that said Phillipians 4:13. I went home and looked up the scripture and I have never forgotten it since.

What a wonderful idea and I love the bracelet! My son is currently in Ranger School (Florida Phase). We hope to be attending his graduation this month. This single word assures us that all is done and our salvation in Jesus is sure!

Hi! I read your blog all the time and would love to help you come up with the perfect word/words.
Some things that came to mind were simply

Soulmates - You are the ultimate example of what a soulmate is - someone who stands by there love no matter what happens. You wouldnt do what you do, day in and day out if Ben wasnt your true soulmate.

BensAngel - self explanatory

IAMStrong - for those day you might doubt

HisHeart - What keeps you going

HisSmile - From those photos, you love love love his smile - before and after the accident

StandTall - For those days you might feel like staying in bed

I don't know that I'd want it actually on a bracelet, but "Joseph" comes to mind. Joseph from Genesis. The story of an unchanging God in a wildly out of control situation. The story of Joseph's faith, perseverence and devotion to the Lord, even when he had no clue about what in the world God was going to do with the frightening situation he found himself in. The story of how God can take something bad and use it for good. The story of how God can raise us from a pit, place us in a high place, and use us for His glory... but only if we are obedient! I want to be more like Joseph! But ya, it may not be what you were looking for in a bracelet. Maybe Gen 27-37 would be better? Maybe "Joseph" in Greek, since that seems to be a hot trend in these suggestions!

I read your post days ago and have been putting some thought into it before I answered. I am thinking:

"Yeshua" or "Jesus" or the same in Hebrew writing

for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and I believe it sums up all that you and Ben stand for as well. I'm more partial to Yeshua because that's what He would have been called while on this earth and it denotes his Jewishness for the Jews were and still are God's chosen people. I praise Him that we have been grafted into His family!

Katie, listen and God will give you the words you are looking for. After my husband died 8 years ago God gave me these three words:

FAITH - HOPE - PEACE

I knew that I had FAITH that God was still on the throne.

I had HOPE because I knew God had good plans for me and my young children.

I had PEACE in that I didn't have to have all the answers, but was able to rest knowing that God was in control.

Those three words became very dear to me. I still use them in so many areas of my life. Somewhere during the first couple of years I started telling people about the words and had mistakenly replaced PEACE with JOY. When I realized what I had been doing, it seemed so appropriate. I had gone from PEACE to JOY without even realizing it.

So listen closely and God will give you your very own word(s) that will carry you through this journey.

After reading your post about Jeremiah I thought about "The Plan". It can stand for the verse you quoted as well as the tasks you and Ben have in order to get healthy and get home. I also like "Work the Plan" or " Live the Plan" but that may be too many letters.

Won't it be amazing to look at this bracelet 3 years from now and realize all that God brought you though?

Hi Katie I have told my husband this every day and I think Its a thought for your bracelet...
"I love you Today, Tomorrow and Always." I know this is to long but you could put ♥u2DA2M&A ... Just a thought..Not only can this mean...the love you have for Ben but the love you have for God. Good luck and it will be great to see what you decide to put on it.
