Updates for 8/31

Katie is out of surgery went well .. she a has cast and will have to have have therapy .. he put a plate in her wrist .. Please continue to pray for her belly to wake up !! They have taken the probe out of Bens head that was there to monitor the inter-cranial pressure .. this is a very good sign ..also some of the meds that he has been on are being stopped ..they are making progress as these are all the steps to begin waking him up .. Pray for him during this time !!!!

Mark 2 - A paralytic man was brought to Jesus by 4 friends .. since they could not get to Jesus through the crowd they lowered him through the roof of the house where Jesus was .. When Jesus saw THEIR faith , he said "Son, your sins are forgiven." 11 " I tell you, GET UP, take your mat and go home"

I love this story because it reminds me of the power of our faith for friends and family .. God hears our prayers and as we stand in the gap for those we love that are unable to pray for themselves He will hear us - !!!

Spoke with Bens parents this afternoon .. the CT reports are coming back showing no more bleeding !!! Praise the Lord .. the pressure in is head is still coming down .. The plans are to start letting me wake up tomorrow .. they are worried about how he will react to waking up in a strange place and unaware of his environment .. PLease pray that while Ben is waking up he will be peaceful and have the mind of Christ .. Katie is going back to surgery tomorrow morning for her arm .. She looks very good and is progressing well .. Please also pray for her that her belly will wake up soon so she can eat and get her strength back .. thanks for all the prayers !!

Katie is back in her room and feeling good, her room number is 646 if you want to call. Ben's parents arrived about 1 1/2 hours ago. Ben is still in stable condition.

Spoke with Katie's dad, she is still in ICU, may stay through the night again. She is recovering well and wants everyone to know that as soon as she gets out of ICU all visitors are welcome as long as the door is open. If door is closed she will be sleeping. Katie says phone calls are welcome. She is thankful for all prayers, comments, and concerns. Her dad will let us know as soon as she is released from ICU. No change on Ben, status is the same. Not expecting any change until after the weekend. Katie's dad is asking to specifically pray for Ben's family. They are traveling today and are expected to be in Columbus, GA tonight.
